About Us

Who are Melbourne Frontrunners?

MFR is an inclusive not-for-profit LGBTQ+ running and walking club, open to everyone regardless of ability, age, sexual orientation or gender identity. We have over 300 members who meet throughout the week at The Tan, Albert Park, Princes Park and on the Maribyrnong for social and coached sessions.

Members also socialise throughout the year and head to local and interstate run events together. We are a part of the International Frontrunners, an organisation of LGBTQ+ run clubs around the world.

Melbourne Frontrunners Launched the Annual Melbourne Pride Run in 2017, as a way to give back to the community.  

Details for Racers

Registration

Registrations will be open from 8:00am-8:50am when you can collect your race bib from our friendly volunteers. You will be able to check-in any of your belongings such as bags and clothing at the same spot. We recommend you leave any items of value at home.

EVENT VOLUNTEER MARSHALLS

Event Volunteer Marshalls/Supporters are located at the Start and Finish lines, the bottom and top of Anderson Street hill and at the Government House Drive roundabout. Water bubblers are located at the Pillars of Wisdom, the bottom and top of Anderson Street Hill.

MEDALS

All run or walking participants who complete Melbourne Pride Run (1 lap or 2 laps) will receive a Melbourne Pride Run Medal.

8:00 am Registration Opens for you to collect your bib and pins at the Pillars of Wisdom (See Map)! 8:30 am Warm up join us in an energetic warm up to get your ready for the run. 9:00 am Off we go!

We will be setting off in three waves depending on the distance and speed you are comfortable with;
